China is considering a complete ban on diesel and gasoline cars

According to the World Association of Automobile Manufacturers, 28 million cars were produced in China last year, including 500,000 electric vehicles.

The publication notes that China follows France and the UK, which also intend to ban the production of gasoline and diesel cars from 2040.

In July 2017, it was reported that Volvo plans to stop producing cars equipped only with an internal combustion engine. Starting from 2019, all the company’s passenger cars will be equipped with electric power plants as the main engine or in combination with a gasoline engine (hybrid).
In turn, the American manufacturer Ford expects that by 2025, up to 70 percent of cars sold in China will be equipped with electric motors.
