“Gladiator 2” is an upcoming historical feature film directed by Ridley Scott, a sequel to the film “Gladiator”. Plans for the film have been announced since 2001. In February 2023, the planned release date of the film became known – November 22, 2024.
The film Gladiator takes place in Rome during the reign of Emperor Commodus (180-192). The sequel, according to plans announced in 2022, will take place 20 years later, in the year 200. The main character of the film is Commodus’ nephew Lucius.
