Beckett the cat once lived on the street, but one day he was picked up by a research assistant named Rose and given him a home. Years spent in care and love made the cat spoiled and selfish, but everything has changed.
One day, Rose’s ex-boyfriend Larry came to see her. Not wanting to see a rival in his home, Beckett decided to get rid of him, but the plan got out of control and the cat lost his last ninth life.
Once in heaven, the main character asks to be returned to earth – and unexpectedly receives such an opportunity. But he has to live every life in the body of another animal, proving to his owner that he is her beloved cat, but in a different guise.
