Bentley announced a hybrid drive instead of the W12 engine

Volkswagen has announced a new engine for Bentley, which will be used in flagship modifications of the brand’s cars starting this year. The 4.0 liter V8 engine with twin turbocharging will be coupled with a parallel hybrid transmission with the ability to charge the battery from an external source.

The total power of the hybrid drive will reach 740 hp, and the torque will be over 1000 Nm. The modifications equipped with it will have the prefix Ultra Performance Hybrid in their name.
